The ankh is an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol that was most commonly used in writing and in Egyptian art to represent the word for "life".
The symbol is an Egyptian hieroglyph for "life" or "breath of life" (`nh = ankh) and, as the Egyptians believed that one's earthly journey was only part of an eternal life, the ankh symbolises both mortal existence and the afterlife.
>The Ankh was believed to be a symbol health and strength. Many mirrors were discovered with metal that had been shaped into the form of the ankh. Some think that it was to give the person the ability to see into another world
The Black stones in the Ankh have been credited with helping us face what we may fear and protect us while we pass through dark times in our lives.
Wear it on its own or layer it to make a statement with one of our plain chains.
